Time is up and we get ready
for the 44th Heidelberger Herbst on 28th September 2013
which takes place throughout Heidelberg’s Old Town. The Old Town Autumn
Festival is renowned for its artisan market along the Hauptstraße (Main Street)
and its flea market in the little Old Town cobble-stone alleyways.

There is
plenty to see for the young and the old alike. Younger visitors can enjoy a
special kid’s flea market in the courtyard of Theodor-Heuss Schule and a family
programme at the back part of Universitätsplatz. You will find live music at
almost every public square in the Old Town offering a huge variety of different
styles of music (On (Marktplatz, Heumarkt, Universitätsplatz,
Fischmarkt, Anatomiegarten, Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, St. Anna Gasse). The live
programme starts at 11.00 a.m. on the big stages, the small stages will follow
later on. The opening of the festival will be held on Marktplatz with the help
of famous dwarf Perkeo and the wine queen. The main stage is also located on
Marktplatz. On Saturday and Sunday you can visit a medieval market on the back
part of Universitätsplatz performing different acts.
