12. Heidelberger Rollstuhlmarathon am

Alle zwei Jahre findet der Heidelberger
Rollstuhlmarathon, eine internationale Sportveranstaltung für Behinderte,
statt. Der Marathon beginnt am Sonntag
07. Juli 2013 um 11.00 Uhr in der Uferstraße an der Heidelberger Neckarwiese
und führt von Heidelberg nach Neckargemünd und zurück.
Bei der Veranstaltung starten neben
Spitzensportlern die zum Maxi-Marathon antreten und die Strecke dabei von den Athleten 2 x umfahren
werden muss (insgesamt 44 km), auch Freizeitsportler, Anfänger und
Inlineskater. Ebenso wird es ein Kinder- und Jugendlauf sowie einen
Prominentenlauf geben. Musikalisch wird
die Veranstaltung von zwei Open-Air Konzerten (THE THREE MISTAKES / The Alien
Brainsuckers) und einem bunten Rahmenprogramm begleitet.
12th Heidelberg Wheelchair Marathon on Sunday 7th July 2013
This international sports’ event for handicapped persons takes place every two years and starts on Sunday 7th July 2013 on Uferstraße at the banks of the Neckar River at 11.00 hours. The course will take the participants from Heidelberg to Neckargemünd and back.
Besides the top athletes who will go for the maxi-marathon and will have to circle the course two times (a total of 44 km / approx. 27 miles) the event is also suitable for recreational athletes, beginners and inline skaters. Furthermore there will be a children and youth as well as a celebrity run.
The marathon will be accompanied by two open air concerts (THE THREE MISTAKES / The Alien Brainsuckers) as well as from a colourful supporting programme.
