The hotel is located in the heart of Old Heidelberg, right opposite the "Old Bridge". The beautiful view of the Philosophenweg and the river Neckar thrilled travelers for centuries.

A few rooms are provided for the additional comfort of handicapped people. Also there are rooms for non-smokers.

The castle is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. You can also use the cable car which leaves near the hotel. The beautiful gardens surrounding the castle are opened all day and night. Please ask the schedule for guided tours at the front desk.

The Hauptstrasse (main street) is the pedestrian area of Heidelberg. You will find shops, lovely little Cafés and student inns. The shops are opened from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. weekdays, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Saturdays and they are closed on Sundays.

You can catch the boats on the River Neckar at the Congress Center (Stadthalle) which is about 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The first boats leave Heidelberg at 9.30 a.m. Please ask for the exact schedule at the front desk.

The Philosphenweg is a famous foot-path described by many poets. You have a wonderful view all over the old city of Heidelberg. To get there you have to cross the Old Bridge, then turn to the left and walk up the "Schlangenweg". Make sure to wear walking-shoes.
