Neckarsteinach 4-Castle Illumination

Every year on the last Saturday of July, the 4-Castle Illumination takes place at Neckarsteinach, a little village at the Neckar River only 20 km away from Heidelberg. This illumination is part of the festival “Tag des Gastes”.

The festival will be officially opened at 6.00 p.m. with the traditional barrel tapping. On 7.00 p.m. the new Queen of the 4 castles will be crowned. After her coronation she and her entourage will be parading the festival grounds.

Now various bands will cater for your musical entertainment. If the weather is fine until later that evening the bands will perform until midnight.

The actual 4 -Castle Illumination with fireworks will take place at 10.15 p.m.
